Animating parishes in the path of 'Synodality'
For our Pastors and collaborators, the process of planning and searching together was itself very enriching and we experienced consolations and blessing from the Holy Trinity. In an effort to recapture the spirit of the early Christian community, their spirit of communion, their worship gatherings and their life of service, we unanimously chose to build Small Christian Communities (SCCs) in all our 11 Province parishes. In our deliberations we realized the need for following the participatory decision-making approach in all our parishes. The SCCs make the church “really present”, and make people feel they belong to and are responsible for the church, as they are praying, faith-reflecting and serving communities. As pilgrims, we carry with us the hope that Christ, the Risen Lord, is at work in us transforming us and our society. We labour with Him and through the SCCs with our people for integral Christian formation and evangelization.
